EO stream velocity data and chlorophyll/abiotic indicators for operational impact monitoring and planning
EO PROJECT IMPACT
- NRT data on tidal resources (near-shore water stream velocity profiles based on wave kinematic data (wave velocity, length, direction, and period, potentially height). DMEC together with the early adopter will utilize EO data for their business case tool. (REQ-MRE-11)
- EOMAP’s EO products will provide insights into environmental data at the chosen site.
- Site location information: Water quality, Bathymetry, Seafloor/habitat (depending on water depth of deployment)
PROJECT CONTRIBUTIONS
- Tidal energy use-case in-situ with data to validate the tools (velocity measurement using an ADCP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler).
